Find Gila County Booking Photos

Gila County jail mugshots are handled as booking-photo records, not as a public photo gallery in the official sources reviewed. A search to find Gila County booking photos should start with current custody, then move to sheriff records if a photo or report copy is needed. Booking photos may be connected to an arrest, but release can depend on public-records rules, inmate-record limits, redactions, and court restrictions. State prison and federal custody use different systems.

Gila County Jail Mugshots Status

No official Gila County public jail roster profile, recent-bookings page, booking-photo gallery, released-inmate list, or mugshot feed was located on the sheriff and county pages reviewed. Sheriff J. Adam Shepherd's office operates the county jail system, but the located official sources did not publish a public mugshot display for current or recent Gila County jail bookings. That finding should be read plainly. The absence of a public gallery does not mean the sheriff never takes booking photos.

The county's official route is records-based. A person may first call the Globe or Payson jail to confirm current custody. For a sheriff booking photo, arrest report, or related record copy, use the Records Division and GovQA route if the record is releasable. Commercial mugshot sites are not official Gila County sources and are not linked or endorsed here.

Request Gila County Booking Photos

The sheriff's records process is the practical path when a Gila County jail mugshot is not posted online. The Records Division asks requesters to provide details such as the date, time, location, case number, and parties involved. For a booking photo request, identify the person, the arrest date if known, the arresting agency if known, and ask specifically for the booking photograph or booking record.

  1. Call Gila County Globe Jail at 928-425-4449 or Gila County Payson Jail at 928-468-2835 to confirm current county custody.
  2. If the person is not in local custody, check whether the person was released, transferred, sentenced to ADCRR, moved to federal custody, or placed in immigration custody.
  3. Contact Globe Records at 928-402-1883 or Payson Records at 928-474-1210 for copy routing Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. excluding holidays.
  4. Submit an online request through the Gila County Sheriff's Office GovQA public-records portal when an online records request is preferred.
  5. Expect redaction or denial if the photo is tied to a juvenile case, sealed matter, active investigation, privacy restriction, security issue, or other legal limit.

The official Gila County Sheriff's Office GovQA portal is the online request path for sheriff public records.

Use the portal for releasable copy requests, not as a live mugshot gallery.

Gila County Photo Record Fields

A booking photo is usually an identification image taken during intake. In counties with public profiles, a mugshot can appear with a name, booking date, charges, bond, and custody status. For Gila County, those fields must be described as requestable or confirmable items, not as visible online roster fields, because no official public profile was located.

FieldWhat It Shows

Gila County Mugshot Law

Arizona law supports both the creation of certain booking-photo records and public access to many government records, but those rules do not create a mandatory Gila County online mugshot gallery. A booking photo can be a law-enforcement record. Release is still subject to inmate-record limits, case status, court orders, juvenile protections, privacy interests, investigative needs, and security concerns.

Key Statutes:

A.R.S. 13-3893 addresses fingerprinting and photographing persons arrested for felonies and certain other offenses.

A.R.S. 39-121 and A.R.S. 39-121.01 set Arizona's public-records access baseline and records-duty framework.

A.R.S. 31-221 governs inmate records and is important for release limits on jail files.

Public and Restricted Mugshots

The public-records path is not the same as automatic release. A sheriff's office may need to review whether a booking photo is tied to an ongoing investigation, sealed case, juvenile record, protected victim or witness information, medical detail, or a jail security issue. If the case is new, the written report may also not be ready. Gila County's Records Division says most incident reports are not available until at least 24 hours after the incident.

That timing is important for recent arrests. A jail call may confirm that a person is in custody before the written report, photograph copy, or court filing is ready for public release. The request should stay narrow and factual: identify the person, the event, and the exact photo or record sought. Broad requests for every image from a case may take longer to review and may draw more redactions.

What is and is not public: A releasable booking photo may be requested from sheriff records. No official Gila County online mugshot gallery was located, and restricted records may be redacted or withheld.

Gila County Photo Fees

The located fee schedule is a sheriff records fee schedule, not a mugshot marketplace. It lists report and copy fees for records the office releases. No separate official "mugshot fee" was located, so requests should refer to the listed copy categories and confirm the amount with the Records Division before ordering.

Record ItemLocated FeeHandling Note
Incident or accident report$7.00Common route for arrest or incident copies when releasable.
CDAdditional $8.00Applies when records are produced on CD.

Gila County Mugshots and Custody

Start with custody status because a photo request may be easier to route when the person, arrest date, and facility are known. Gila County Globe Jail is at 1100 South Street, Globe, AZ 85501, phone 928-425-4449, with 140 listed beds. Gila County Payson Jail is at 108 West Main Street, Ste A, Payson, AZ 85541, phone 928-468-2835, with 142 listed beds. Both are sheriff-operated county jails.

A person no longer in the jail may have been released, transferred to another agency, or sentenced to state prison. Use the local jail and records route for Gila County booking photos. Use ADCRR Inmate Data Search for sentenced Arizona prisoners, understanding that an ADCRR photo, if shown, is a state prison identification image rather than a Gila County jail roster mugshot.

VINELink Arizona can help with custody notification when supported, but it should not be treated as a booking-photo source. A notification service can help track custody changes while the sheriff records process handles copies.

Gila County Mugshot Removal

The official Gila County pages reviewed did not publish a sheriff mugshot-removal policy. Arizona law does identify court processes that can affect public records after a case outcome. A.R.S. 13-911 may allow eligible people to petition to seal certain arrest, conviction, and sentence records. A.R.S. 13-4011 addresses notation of records after dismissal, acquittal, or non-prosecution.

Those are court and legal processes. They are not the same as asking a private site to remove a copied photo. Do not rely on commercial mugshot pages as official Gila County records, and do not treat a fee-based removal offer as a sheriff or court process. Court-record status, sealing, and notation issues belong with the court and clerk. The related court workflow is covered in Gila County court records after jail arrest.

Federal and ICE Photos

Federal and immigration systems are not Gila County jail mugshot galleries. The BOP Inmate Locator is used for federal sentenced inmates and certain federal statuses. It does not operate as a county booking-photo feed. The ICE Online Detainee Locator is used to search immigration detention by A-number and country of birth, or by biographical details. ICE ODLS is a detainee locator, not a mugshot display.

No BOP prison or ICE detention center was located physically inside Gila County during the official facility sweep. Federal pretrial custody may involve the U.S. Marshals District of Arizona and federal court channels. If a person moved from county arrest into federal or immigration custody, use the national locator and case channels rather than expecting a Gila County booking photo to stay available online.

Note: A county booking photo request should stay with sheriff records unless the person is now in a separate state, federal, or immigration system.
